Special Converters w/Automatic Controls
This converter operates equipment with fixed or variable (multi-motor) loads that may start without warning and requires no control modifications or phase balancing of load motors
This converter is used for equipment that may operate unattended, such as heat and A/C, refrigeration, water wells, irrigation, sewage lift stations, elevators and similar applications. No equipment control changes or modifications are required. Additional motors such as fans, aerator pumps, etc. may be operated with or without the main load operating and no phase balancing is required on any load motors.
A disconnect means is NOT furnished–consult GWM if Main Rotary Magnetic Starter is desired. The converter first attains operating speed, then the 3-phase output contactor is energized. This output is controlled from the load side of the rotary fuse, providing phase-loss protection. Following any power outage the converter will restart itself and operate equipment automatically.
The converter runs continually, and on average will operate for about a dollar a day. The GWM rotary can operate on a 24-hour basis, even unloaded, without overheating because of our exclusive low resistance rotor design. Lifetime Warranty against Rotor Failure.
